Get ready for “Primary Trust” with 10 Days of “Primary Caring”

10 Days of Primary Caring - a journey of small actions that create big ripples.

Update: We will begin another 10 Days of Primary Caring, on Feb 1. Thank you so much to everyone who has taken part!

As we prepare to share Eboni Booth’s Pulitzer Prize winning Primary Trust, we’d like to extend an invitation to join us in 10 Days of Primary Caring. These ten simple gestures are structured to progress from self-trust to community trust. Each action is an opportunity to experience the connection you will find at the heart of Primary Trust.

Follow along on social media to share your experiences with the hashtag #PrimaryCaring

And of course, don’t forget to get your tickets to Primary Trust, opening on February 1, with previews starting January 30.

Round 2 (Feb 1-Feb 10)

⃝ FEB 1 Let that small mistake go. Watch it float away.

⃝ FEB 2 Five breaths. Five times. Feel your ribs expand.

⃝ FEB 3 Tell someone about that shop that feels like home.

⃝ FEB 4 Play that song. The one that knows you best.

⃝ FEB 5 Ten minutes. Just walking. Let your mind wander.

⃝ FEB 6 Listen like you’ve got nowhere else to be.

⃝ FEB 7 Ink on paper. Old school. Real words.

⃝ FEB 8 Give a stranger your smile. Mean it.

⃝ FEB 9 Make marks on paper. Don’t think too hard.

⃝ FEB 10 Sit with an animal. Just be together.

Round 1 (Jan 20-Jan 30)

Days 1-3: Self-Tr ust Actions

⃝ JAN 20 Stand in front of your mirror. Say three true and positive things about yourself. Make them stick.

⃝ JAN 21 That thing that's been haunting your to-do list? Face it. Do it. Free yourself.

⃝ JAN 22 Stop. Really stop. Look at that painting, that dance, that street performer. Let art crack you open.

Days 4-6: One-on-One Trust Actions

⃝ JAN 23 Find someone who needs it. Hug them like you mean it. Feel your own heart settle.

⃝ JAN 24 That friend who's doubting themselves? Tell them what you see in them. Be specific.

⃝ JAN 25 Learn something that scares you a little. Let yourself be bad at it.

Days 7-10: Community Trust Actions

⃝ JAN 26 See the rush? Step back. Let someone else win the race today.

⃝ JAN 27 Notice someone struggling with a door? Hold it. Watch their shoulders relax.

⃝ JAN 28 That wrapper on the sidewalk? Pick it up. Own your block.

⃝ JAN 29 Text a friend to let them know you’re thinking about them.

⃝ JAN 30 Share your experience. Post on your social media (use the hashtag #PrimaryCaring) or just tell a friend what these 10 days have meant to you.
