Over the past three weeks, the Stage West Conservatory ensemble of students and teaching artists have been busy! Together they have created a world premiere one-act play called Somewhere in the Over There written by Rob Bosquez and Justin Flowers with music by Brian Johnston. This group, under guidance from professional theatre mentors, has learned about acting, puppetry, dance, movement, vocalization, marketing, development, budgeting, and all theatrical designs such as lighting, sound, set, costumes and more.
You are invited to come see the fruits of their labor on Friday July 30 at 5pm or 7pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for 12 and under. For Season Ticket holders, admission is free. Call 817-784-9378 for tickets.
In light of recent events – namely the Delta variant plowing its way through our community – we strongly suggest the wearing of masks. We will also be asking that all groups leave two seats on either side of them for distancing. Please be mindful of others in the community who have weakened immune systems or of younger people who are not yet eligible for the life-saving vaccine which is available free of charge to anyone 12 and up.
You’ll be among the first to see our brand-new Evelyn Wheeler Swenson Theatre, “The Evie,” and maybe get a quick peek at the quickly evolving new lobby.
About the show: When all the neighborhood pets suddenly disappear, our heroes must rescue them from an other-worldly dimension controlled by The Wizard. SOMEWHERE IN THE OVER THERE is an original story of action, love, loyalty, imagination, and believing. Don't miss this magical experience brought to life by Stage West's 2021 Summer Theatre Conservatory.
