Festival of the Kid takes the winning entries from our annual Neighborhood Play Contest and stages them in a 3-night extravaganza.
This program is for North Texas K-12 students: write a short play, scene, poem, monologue, or prose and submit it into the contest for the chance to be produced onstage during Festival of the Kid.
Stage West’s Design Apprenticeship Prorgam 2023 is a pre-professional training program for college students in the areas of Sound and Costume Design. Participants will work with a mentor in their respective design area to create work for a professional portfolio, while also obtaining hands-on learning experience during onstage programming.
Stage West continues its nearly decade long relationship with Bass Performance Hall’s prestigious Children’s Education Program. Since 2007, Stage West has annually taken an abridged classic to the Bass Hall stage where thousands of middle and high school students, free of charge, are bused in to engage in the theatrical experience.
Stage West will pivot to a pandemic-friendly performance for local youth for its 2021 partnership with Bass Performance Hall’s Children’s Education Program.
