L. W. Miller

L. W. Miller is a jack of all trades designer who started exploring acting at the age of seven. Miller holds a B.F.A. in Theatre (2015) and an M.F.A. in Technical Theatre-Design (Lighting Emphasis, 2017). Over the past 25 years Miller has branched out from acting to include light, set, costume, sound, and projection design. Most recently he light designed Spring Awakening, Fefu and Her Friends, Pretentious Young Ladies, Aricama: A Galactic Landing, and the Exquisite Corpse Company’s new works festival titled Like Clockwork. He also designed the sets for Lady Windermere’s Fan and Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike while working as the Technical Director for the Downstage Theatre Company from 2016-2017. His training in design is bolstered by his experience as a stage manager, director, puppeteer, and playwright. The culmination of these studies has been a holistic approach to storytelling that has been a driving force in the creation of new art with collaborators from around the world. A U.S. Army veteran, he now lives in Fort Worth with his wife and son, as Technical Director for Stage West.
