Stage West's Extreme Makeover

What a journey it was, from August to November, 2007, renovating the Ol' Vic!  Here's a little taste of it in pictures...

Touring the old space--lobby left.The bar area, toward the kitchen.And looking across the lobby.Pulling down some old drapes.Our old sign was still in the shop area!The contractors start their work...And so do we--Dennis, Jim, & Dana tackle the green room.Yvonne patches the hall.Barbara & Dana priming a dressing room.Dana patches some holes in the concrete.Jerry works in the theatre space.Old paint is scraped off the theatre wall.Restrooms are gutted and re-done.The new tile in the mensroom.A restroom finished!Ductwork is replaced in the lobby...And the ceiling is sprayed with insulation.Drywall goes up in the theatre.Seating risers are constructed.Some donors take a Saturday tour.Justin begins painting the green room.The kitchen, Day 1...The new kitchen plumbing...And the kitchen completed!The concrete stain for the kitchen/pantry.The lobby gets drywalled...And then primed...And then painted, and the bar built.Maggie & Dennis paint the risersJerry & Randy work on the seats.The first part of our front sign goes in...Dana does some finish work.The build of the first set starts.And now the lobby has art!The first audience takes its seats.
