Frequently Asked Questions
1. Where is Stage West, and how do I get there?
Stage West is at 821 W. Vickery Blvd., between the Hospital District and downtown. For directions and a map, click the Plan Your Visit link at the top of the page.
2. Where can we park when we come?
Click the Plan Your Visit link, and then click Parking on the left side of the page.
3. Do we have to have reservations?
Not always, though we do recommend it. Call the Box Office, and they can tell you whether it's likely to be safe to just come.
4. Can we reserve online?
Yes. There is a link for online reservations both on the Home Page and on Tickets.
5. What are our dinner options when we come?
We have dinner available on site, and it's a very popular option. Service starts about an hour and a half prior to curtain. We do advise reservations due to popularity. You can find menu information at the Ol' Vic Cafe links on our Home Page and on the Plan Your Visit page.
There are also quite a few excellent dining options available in the area, on Magnolia Street and downtown.
6. How do we know when auditions will be?
We always send audition information to the newspapers and to organizations such as S.T.A.G.E., and audition notices are posted here under Work at Stage West. Auditions usually, but not always, occur the weekend after a production opens, so that can serve as a guideline. They are usually on Sunday and Monday evenings, with callbacks as needed.
7. Can you just show up for auditions?
No, auditions are by appointment only. We take appointments in one-hour blocks on either of the audition dates. Call the Box Office for an appointment (more information available on our Work at Stage West page).
