27 hours....

Ahhhh..... Just finished opening weekend of play #1 in the Norman Conquests, and what a weekend (rather, weekEND)!  Previews Friday night, rehearsal Saturday day, opening Saturday night, matinee on Sunday, then rehearsal until midnight Sunday night!  'Bout 27 hours at the theater, all told.  Why go home?  May as well just crash on a cot in the dressing room....  You won't hear any complaints from me, though - I LOVE IT!  All in a day's work.  Bring it on!!!

Rehearsal tonight for play #2 Living Together was insanely HILARIOUS!   The game scene had us all absolutely peeing in our pants, wondering how we're going to get through it without crying with laughter!    Like the dinner scene in Table Manners, I'm sure we'll be drilling these lines before every performance lest someone drops one and the whole scene derails....

The more we rehearse and perform, the more evident it becomes that attending a marathon is by far the best way to enjoy all 3 shows.  I almost wish we were doing more than 2 marathons!  Talk about a fantastic and memorable experience - a whole day of side-splitting laughter!  Seeing them all at once seems to be the only way to truly appreciate Ayckbourn's brilliance as a comedic writer and weaver.

I am so grateful to be a part of this cast and this production.  What a fun, fabulous, and talented group of people!
